It is letters like this one that make me love what I do even more:
When I received my wedding photos back I was not surprised to find this photographic evidence of just exactly how you go beyond the call of duty. When other peoples fingers were just too nervous to do up a myriad of tiny crystal buttons your calm demeanor was just perfect!
This clearly shows just how you seemed to be everywhere JUST at the right moment. I remember that on my wedding day every time I seemed to need an extra pair of hands you were there. When I asked family or friends if something had been done the answer was always a resounding “Yes Jacs Carolyn did it long ago”
You thought of things before I did and you ensured you did them how I would have done them myself which is the best thing about an awesome wedding co-ordinator in my books. As a bride to be able to leave someone to get on with things without having added stress to an already highly emotional day is priceless.
Once again thank you for all your hands on work at our wedding, your special touches and just your joyous presence which added a touch of magic to our day.
Jacqui and Matt, from the bottom of my heart thank you for the joy of being a very little part of your beautiful and special day! See their bold and happy wedding day here. A big thank you to Kate van Onselen from Studio KOVO for capturing this special moment.
What a beautiful way to wrap up this week! Such a blessed heart x

We have had the lovely honour of being featured on Midlandsmusings, a seriously lovely little blog (one of my all time favorites) by my very talented friend Keri Bainborough, which celebrates all things simply lovely about life in the Midlands. Being a Midlands girl myself, this is a blog which resonates with my soul!
Brett and Zara’s stunning Netherwood wedding cracked the nod for this happy feature. Photography by the incomparable Jacki Bruniquel, wedding flowers and decor by KZN legend Kerry Dinkleman (who also happened to do Keri’s wedding last year), hair and make up by Kym and styling by Adore Weddings.
Zara and Brett’s sensational wedding included no less than 500 wrought iron birds suspended from the ceiling of the venue … one of my favorite decor aspects from this wedding! Images also include some pretty snaps from a post-wedding styled shoot we did with them, complete with the cutest little red mini, red lips and red tulip flower crown! Let’s just say I had endless amounts of FUN with this couple!!!
Our Very Berry shoot was put together at the end of a long day of creative collaboration and making pretty after our Secret Garden Styled Shoot. The below images are the result!

Heather and Jason were married at The Litchi Orchard on a crisp Autumn day in April. This couple is kind, soft, gentle, super organized, and completely in love. It was a privilege to get to witness the way they interact with one another, and to see the beautiful way in which they brought their wedding together.
Once again this was an Orchard wedding in which friends and family came together to help, place, decorate and make pretty. I am smitten with the soft and romantic colours they chose for their day, the little details in their decor, the beautiful flowers, the way it all perfectly complimented the venue, and the way it represented their own unique love story so beautifully. This is a match made to last a life time.
A big thank you to Bron Fourie from Vanilla Photography for the beautiful images of this special day. Delicious and pretty cup cakes by Lemon Canary Bakery, Hair and Make up by Robyn Bowles, decor by Settings and Fine Words, flowers by Rose and Berry (available through Settings), and Catering by Tracey Brewis.

Graeme & Penny celebrated their wedding at Makaranga Lodge in Kloof in November 2013. From the outset Penny knew she wanted something creative and different for her flowers and decor, and chose a botanical theme to reflect her venue’s surroundings. It was such a delight to get to work with Pen for her special day! It is always special to get to flex creative muscle and experiment with something new for a wedding - lots of texture, shades of green, natural fibers, touches of glass and a bucket of candle light to soften off the edges. I loved working on this wedding!!!
An enormous congratulations to Graeme & Penny on their marriage, wishing you both a lifetime of adventure and happy memories!
A few stunning sneak peaks by the incredibly talented Fiona Clair Photographyfrom Tuesday’s styled shoot at Eagle’s Cry. An enormous thank you to everyone involved in this fun and special day, with a special thank you to Laura for the sensational hair and make up, Terry-Lynn for braving the heat and looking so darn gorgeous, and the lovely Julia Ferrandi for her beautiful dresses, and Tessa Henderson for the generous use of her wedding dress. Very excited to share the full shoot with you friends! Enjoy x

Jared and Maritsa were married at Midlands Forest Lodge on a misty, icy cold Midlands day in September. Kloke and Mrs Kloke are good friends of ours, and it was both an honour and privilege to be a part of their very special day. We had great plans to set up their ceremony space on the lawn outside with hay bales for friends and family to sit on so we could all enjoy the spectacular view of the berg that this pretty little venue offers, but the weather had other plans, so in typical unfazed Jared and Maritsa style, they simply moved the ceremony into the reception venue and had a sensational day anyway!
This was a hands on friends and family wedding, with everyone getting involved with the set up and decor. Close family friends made the beautiful bunting and table runners, flowers by Adore Weddings, assisted by many willing hands, food by friends and family, hair and make up by Maritsa’s lovely cousin, and photography by close friend and wildlife photographer Chris Hall.
I love how much fun this couple had both with their wedding planning and on the day, and how much love they have for their family, their friends and one another. This wedding is one for the record books, when we left the festivities at 5.30 am the next morning, the party was still going strong!
Enjoy this special little wedding friends, and have a beautiful day x
Susan has a smile to light up the darkest room. She is warm, open hearted and just lovely. Ray is her perfect match, and watching the two of them together was nothing but a joy. Theirs is a story of sheer love.
Once again we had a Litchi Orchard wedding which was all about friends and family coming together to help decorate, put in place, make pretty and share love. I loved the teal under tone throughout this wedding, the suspended birds, the old books and the beautiful flowers. Susan has gorgeous taste, and it carried through to her exquisite dress and bold gold statement piece necklace. More than anything I loved the way this wedding was a reflection of this couple, their style and their love for one another. Beautiful photography by the lovely Bron from Vanilla Photography - thank you for your images!
Ray and Susan, well done to you and your lovely friends and families for creating such a happy, beautiful, warm wedding. I wish you both a beautiful life together full of warm memories, good laughter and deep joy.
Enjoy friends x
